Eskandar Sadeghi-Boroujerdi is an assistant professor of the international relations of the Middle East at the University of St Andrews. He is the author of Revolution and Its Discontents: Political Thought and Reform in Iran. Professor Ervand Abrahamian is Distinguished Professor of Iranian and Middle Eastern history and politics at the Baruch College, CUNY.
