(1) My first impression of your comment, Duane, is that it was cynical. On the
other hand, your observations are largely true.

(2) Not all leaflets are the same, however.

My leaflet was fairly popular: two different people asked for extra copies, one
woman attached a leaflet to the front of her shoulder bag--so that it would be
visible. One person sent me email afterward asking to meet up in person.

The "No Kings" event was organized (essentially) by the Democratic Party. Are
we supposed to be silent about this and allow the Democratic Party (which is
supporting the war behind closed doors) to manipulate people without challenge?

One woman returned the leaflet to me after about 60 seconds--she said "The
Democratic Party is the only hope we have". In other words--my leaflet made
the message clear.

(3) The leaflet also explained *why* this war is taking place--and explained
why various popular theories (ie: megalomania, Epstein, Israel) are shallow.
You can read it here: http://communism.org/node/4057/4057.pdf

(4) Your comments, in my opinion, reflect opposition to the saturation of the
movement by opportunist practices: sectarians engaged in cutthroat competition
with one another over the warm bodies of activists who are new on the scene and
looking to hook up with experienced people.

What is the solution to the domination of this kind of opportunism?

The old way of doing things is: cult-based recruitment.

The new (and better) way is: transparency and self-organization based on the
unrestricted flow of information.

(5) I stand for the new way.

(6) What do you think about this? I am interested in your thoughts on the way
forward.

Respectfully,
Ben
