*The Xi-Trump Summit in Beijing: A Reflection of the Changed
Relationship of Forces*

Trumps much-hyped summit with Xi ended with little concrete results.
Trump, who usually acts as a bully when meeting representatives from
smaller states, flattered the Chinese leader as “/great friend/”. Xi,
whom various Stalinists praise as a “socialist” statesman, told Trump
that China’s “/great rejuvenation/” could go “/hand in hand/” with
“/Make America great again/”. But despite the huge U.S. delegation which
included a number of business tycoons (including Apple’s Elon Musk, Tim
Cook and Nvidia’s Jensen Huang), the concrete results of this summit
have been rather limited.
