https://news.gallup.com/poll/693203/ukrainian-support-war-effort-collapses.aspx It's a typical and understandable response of the masses in wars between capitalist states after the initial flush of nationalistic war fever when they come to see who is profiting from their hardships and sacrifice and whose class interest is being served. Unlike in Ukraine and Russia, the left-led 20th century wars of national liberation in China, Vietnam, and Cuba aimed at the siezure of state power, and the resolve of the peasants and workers to fight those wars grew rather than waned as the struggle progressed.
