I think this is a very ominous development.
Things get more difficult all the time to get correct information out. While we
can reply on people's own experience to strip out lies about about their daily
life ("there is no inflation") - it is much more difficult to reply on that
lived experience for things such as foreign news.
A united single or at least a few (rather than the hundreds it seems) united
left papers/newstreams/media would at least help to counter.
When it is so easy to web-publish and stream, the plethora becomes potentially
confusing to many - including myself.
No easy solution. Just saying… a principled unity is taking a long time to
develop.
