John, this is really shameful! Of course we have been several times in
Ukraine because we organsied 3 solidarity convoys. So, yes, I personally
met Maksym and also my comrades in Ukraine know him. Despite his young
age, he has been a political activist opposed to the Russian invasion
for several years. "Russian symbols" simply means communist symbols. It
is not only the RCIT but also other socialists who call for solidarity
with Maksym - and I am talking about socialists who have been engaged in
practical solidarity with Ukraine from the beginning of the invasion and
who have been there several times (see. e.g.

Why do you believe the proaganda of the pro-Western, anti-communist
Zelensky regime instead of socialists who side with Ukraine against
Russian imperialism?!

it "beggars belief" that WSWS should be getting money from Russia
either directly or indirectly. How about others here? Do you, too,
think it "beggars belief"? And as for Syrotiuk: RKOB may know him
personally, but he ignores the apparent likelihood that he had
clothing with the Russian symbols on it. RKOB may "know him
personally", although I don't see how he can unless he's been in
Ukraine. But maybe RKOB has been there. That doesn't rule out the
possibility that he's been deceived. Given that RKOB seems to have
fallen into the same mistaken tendency that most others on the non
campist left have, I think that's more likely. So, if that is true,
why should it be ignored? Just because Syrotiuk calls himself a socialist?
Or do you think we're all one big family, part of the same movement,
with other "socialists" who have links to Putin and to fascists?
