In recent weeks the Houthis – officially known as Ansar Allah – have
managed to deal important blows to their reactionary adversaries in
Yemen which are proxies of the Saudi kingdom. They expanded the areas
under their control to the whole coast region at the Red Sea and control
now the Strait of Bab el-Mandeb – one of the world's most important
maritime routes, carrying goods and commodities from Asia to Europe
through the Suez Canal.
