I personally have been a bit annoyed that the search box defaults to ?My
Mashups? when I?m signed in. I thought that would be most
?user-focussed? but in fact I find myself wanting to use the search box
for a quick link to any mashup by name. Defaulting to ?Everyone?s
mashups? even when you?re signed in would help with that.
Does anyone share this opinion? Or become attached to the current behavior?
+1 for defaulting to "Everyone's Mashups". Unless I have dozens of
personal Mashups, I will always want to switch to this mode.
+1
Defaulting to 'Everyone's Mashups' can cater a mashup search from both
everyone's and own lists.
I actually haven't been disturbed by this much, because we anyway get both
lists appearing in the home page
Another idea ? to push the search/navigation metaphor even further
(inspired by Vista?) it might be nice to go directly to a mashup?s page
when there is only one matching search result. Kind of a dynamic ?I?m
feeling lucky?.
Makes sense.
Something else we forgot is the (Ajax based) 'suggest' feature when
typing queries. I can look into this once I'm done with the Jiras and
theming :)

+1 to get mashups page if there's only one matching result. This reduces
the number of user clicks too.
