The current state is that digit2image stores it's cache (of how many images per
digit there are) in the storexml service. The first time, there is no cache,
and the storexml fault is used to signal this to digit2image, which recovers by
creating the cache stub. Thus this is a normal state but the exceptions appear
in the log, with no way to suppress them.
Solutions to consider for the future include:
- using the File object instead of the storexml service (but that reduces the
value of digit2image as sample code)
- printing an additional line in the log saying "ignore the above exception -
everything is operating normally."
- providing ways to suppress particular faults in the log.
