On OS X apache 1.3 is installed by default. It is enabled via Web Sharing or something. Anyway, how did you install Apache2? Did you uninstall apache1.3?

Hello,
I am trying to install Request Tracker 3.4.5 on Mac OS X Server 10.4.6 using Apache 2 (mod_perl2) and have been totally and completely unsuccessful at getting the HTML::Mason modules to install.

Now Mason is obviously trying to run tests against Apache 1.3.xx which is not even running on this machine. I have tried looking through the mailing list archive to find how other people have gotten Mason installed with Apache 2, but all the Apache 2 issues I see seem to have gotten much further along than I can.

How do I make Mason realize that I am using Apache 2?

I have installed the Bundle::Apache2, and that didn't help.

I have installed libapreq2 by hand via CPAN (to include Apache2::Request and Apache2::Cookie) and still Mason tries to test against apache 1.3.

What's the deal? What am I missing? Please Please Please can somebody help me work through this. I am by no means a Perl hacker and my CPAN skills are limited to installing new modules so I am stumped. I can't spend much more time on this or else I am going to have to give up on installing RT because MASON won't install correctly.

Cheers
