Comp calls don't create an inheritence chain, precisely for this reason, probably. Hundreds of components are used regularly, and if they all executed the inheritence chain you'd end up using inherit=>undef In nearly all of them, or putting them in a separate directory with an autohandler which did that. That's why if you want inheritence on a new comp, you have to subexec it. Just so we're all clear.
