Hi Mitch,

I just wanted to plug my modules -- SNMP::Info.  You will find support to
find and set VLANs on an interface level for all the major network device
vendors.  It's pretty easy to extend -- new developers always welcome.
Part of my design method was to use the MIBs so that you don't have to
work with magic numbers and magic responses like you were talking about.
It does however use Net-SNMP's Perl module, not the CPAN one.  All needed
mibs can be found in the companion netdisco-mibs package.
