Title: RE: [Mason] Weirdness with ARGS hash, POST method, mod_perl2, and CGI as the args_method

A call to CGI->new or $r->content empties the current input buffer if the method is POST thus causing the issues that you're experiencing. The trap is outlined here:

http://www.masonhq.com/docs/manual/Devel.html#common_traps

Setting args_method to mod_perl has fixed the problem for me.

Subject: [Mason] Weirdness with ARGS hash, POST method, mod_perl2, and CGI as the args_method

We are seeing some really strange behavior - it appears as if, under
mod_perl 2.0.1 and Apache 2.0.54 (redhat fedora core 4 if that matters) and
Mason 1.33, we are seeing a situation where a mason component does not get
ALL the CGI parameters that are sent from the client.  We have not run this
to ground since it would be pretty time consuming and we wanted to be sure
this wasn't already a known issue.  I did a search in the archives, but
nothing jumped out at me.

So, the question is, is there some known issue with mod_perl 2.0.1 and CGI
as an args method losing arguments sent in POST mode?
