Apache::Request is mod_perl 1 or pre API change mod_perl2. I am running mod_perl 2.02 under RHEL and have built out my own apache, perl, mod_perl2, libapr2 etc.
Given the fact that RHEL is rather behind the times, here is my setup which is built and installed in it's own location: Package Version Apache2 2.2.3 Perl 5.8.8 Mod Perl2 2.0.2 Lib APR 2.08 Mason 1.35 And please note that you should install libapr2 before installing Mason. Also I can use the redhat packages with Fedora Core6.
