For years, I have been a Mason developer, setting up pages for use on sites that already have Mason installed on them.
But as a site administrator, I'm as green as you get. I recently installed Apache 2 on my home system for the purpose of using it as a sandbox; I did so by means of a package manager, and I have not customized it at all. In fact, until earlier today, I didn't even know where the configuration files were located on my system; and I still have virtually no idea how they work. For instance: how do I check to see if I have mod_perl installed and running? If I don't have it installed and running, how do I install it and start it up? When installing Mason on my Apache server, which .conf file(s?) do I modify in order to install it? -- I could really use some hand-holding until I can get some basic familiarity under my belt. -- Jonathan "Dataweaver" Lang ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
