Hi, I just wanted to add, that really WinSCP was the problem. I do not remember how I had it before but now after switching to summer time when I copy a file with WinSCP from WinXP to linux server, there is an one hour time difference. The file on the server is one hour older than file on the client (WinXP) what causes the problem.
This I found in WinSCP Support forum (http://winscp.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1358): My "Server timezone offset" is 0 & 0. My "Daylight saving time" is "Server adjusts DST". My colleague was using SFTP, so that was the difference. We verified that the SFTP protocol applies the correct timestamp only when "Server adjusts DST" is chosen, and that the SCP protocol will not apply the correct timestamp regardless of which DST option is chosen. Setting up WinSCP to use "Server adjusts DST" and SFTP protocol solved the problem. But if your local time is 2 minutes before the server time, wouldn't it mean the server/Mason would not see it as a new file IF WinSCP copies the file but preserves the modification time? As I don't use WinSCP, I don't know what the default is. But I presume in your first message, you meant that you were on the server and editted the file on the server and the change wasn't registered? I don't know the granularity of Mason's checking [perhaps someone can help], but if it is by the minute and you did the change within a minute, maybe it didn't notice the change? Sorry, I don't quite know what I did to fix my problem. But maybe I just stopped noticing it... Good luck!
