Yes, that's true. I think that Jonathan's point is that to someone like me who doesn't know the whole story or only knows one part (Mason), then something that is subjective will be taken as fact very easily. In that sense, it is actually a good thing that you two disagree on this issue since it actually emphasizes how subjection the decision is...
