Hello everyone.
I am running kernel 2.2.14 and have my eth0 connected tro road runner
cable modem and eth1 feeding my internal network (which consists of at
most 2 laptops running windows). I have noticed that when I try to run
applications on my internal computers that require somewhat large
bandwidth at the same time, my eth1 fails and I get messages like teh
following in my /var/log/messages file:
localhost kernel: eth1: The transmitter stopped! CSR5 is e4068002,
CSR6 1a80202.
When this happens, I cannot use internal network at all.

Is this a hardware problem? (my guess is that it is). Does anyone know how
it can be fixed? My eth1 card is a SysLink card with Tulip driver. When
that problem happens, I reboot my linux box and everything goes back to
normal, but I am sure there is a much easier way to restart the whole
thing rather than rebooting the machine. Could someone please tell me how
I can restart my internal masquarading by reseting my internal card? What
are the commands to do that?

Many thanks,
Ali.
