Hi.
I think the subject specifies my problem?
Our RealServer has a valid IP-Adresse and is not behind a firewall.
Our Encoder is in a local net (192.168.) and is connected to the Internet via
a Linux box. Everything works fine, even active ftp.
If we try to send a stream the following happens:
1. Connection between Encoder and Real-Server is established on Port 4040.
2. The (streaming?) file is created.
3. A RealPlayer can connect to this stream/broadcast, but no buffering starts,
as
there are no data transferred from the encoder to the server.
4. After 30 seconds there is a timeout and no further information can be found
in the log-file.
As soon as the encoder gets a valid IP-address everything is fine.
What happens after step 2? I can just imagine that the Server wants to
initiate
a connection to the encoder and this cannot succeed, as the server just knows
the IP-address of our Linux box (similar to active ftp).
I found a module ip_masq_raudio (like ip_masq_ftp) but loading it does not
make any difference.
Any help appreciated!
Uwe
