Hello
I have set up a linux server running as a firewall with masquerading.
The system is Red Hat 6.2 . The kernel has been re-compiled with all the
options for masquerading and firewalling.
Everything works great, I can connect to any place on the web perfectly,
except
for one site which has problems displaying the page.
If I try to go to this site directly, without the firewall and masquerading.
The page
displays perfectly.I have played with the firewall(ipchains) and am 90% sure
the "problem"
is with masquerading.
The site is http://www.mscenvirohealth.co.za You then click on the "Live
Stat click here" button at the
bottom of the page. This takes you the livestats statistics page where the
error is.If you click on the stats
for June the page will load but with errors, and you will not see the actual
graph.
I have tried using different browsers, Netscape plus Explorer, both do the
same thing.Only explorer shows
an error though, netscape just displays nothing.
Now if I use a plain dialup connection and the same pc with the same browser
this page loads fine
with no errors and the graph can be seen.
Whats also so strange about this, is that in say the 200 times I have tried
to access this through masq
and firewall, twice it has actually loaded correctly without errors, but try
it again say the following morning
and no joy.But through dialup it works first time every time.
Can anybody try connecting to this site behind an ipchains masq pc, and see
if they get the same error?
and maybe help me figure out what Iam doing wrong?
Things I have tried to date.
Downloaded new kernel (Not the 3 kernel)
Tried various scripts on the net
Any Help appreciated
Giuseppe
