Hi there:

I believe that I have followed all the instructions for the installation of
v0.4.2 of ipmasqadm for RedHat v6.2 (upgraded to the 2.2.16 kernel).
Normal MASQ processing through the firewall (IPCHAINS implementation)
works well as verified by the testing section of the IP Masquerade HOWTO
doc.

I am trying to implement port forwarding through the firewall of
port 3389 to an internal LAN server, the following message is
given:

[root@gabriel init.d]# /usr/sbin/ipmasqadm portfw -a -P tcp -L 209.82.14.162
3389 -R 192.168.6.17 3389
portfw: setsockopt failed: Invalid argument

The /proc/net/ip_masq directory exists, but there is no portfw file in that
directory,
nor does /proc/net/ip_portfw exist. This suggests to me that I haven't
built and/or
installed the kernel changes required to support port forwarding, but I
believe that
I've set all the CONFIG_ flags in .config correctly according to the docs.

I've also reviewed as many of archive posts regarding this error message
but to no avail. I'm sure its something completely obvious, but I suspect
that
my mind is disconnected at present. Any ideas why ip_masq_portfw is not
getting into the kernel?

Regards... Tim
