Hi all,
My private network is 192.168.1. My Network server runs several services
including caching DNS and has the IP 192.168.1.254 (eth0) and 192.168.32.254
(eth1).
The other Linux box 192.168.32.1 (eth0) is an ISDN gateway with a dynamic IP
on ppp0.
Internally i use a private domain adventus.cxm .
This laptop ( SuSe 6.4), is the only Linux workstation on the Lan . Thanks
to pcmcia_m.rpm , my
DFE-650 card is working fine !
I can ping all the machines including the Gateway box and even my ISPs DN
server 202.54.9.1
but.. the machine cannot resolve net domain names .
my /etc/resolv.conf is :
#
domain adventus.cxm
search local giascl01.vsnl.net.in vsnl.com
nameserver 192.168.1.254
nameserver 202.54.9.1
nameserver 202.54.1.30
The last 2 are my ISP's DNservers and thats how my Win98s are setup
giascl01.vsnl.net.in and vsnl.com are my ISPs domains...
What am I missing ?
