Hi all,

I have a IPCHAINS firewall setup and running. It is great, but for fun I
wanted to try using the LRP floppy vesion of the linux firewall/router.

I made the floppy and copied the modules to it without a problem.

Module 1: pcnet32.o 2: rtl8139.o

The HOW-TO I was reading then said after I boot off my diskette, to MOVE the
objects to the ram drive in /lib/modules dir, which I did.

I then went into the config (lrcfg: 3package 2settings, 1modules, modules)and
seeing as how my modules werent listed by default, I just added them into the
file, under the 3c905 module entry and made sure there wasnt a comment in from
the the two lines.

I then did the network setup, saved the changes to disk, did a reboot, but
nothing. Tried ifconfig, shows no NIC at all.

Since I moved the modules, they were no longer on the disk, Tried browsing to
the /lib/modules dir, but it wasnt even under the /lib dir anymore???

I have the disk, and the network settings are all correct, but I am wondering
if there is a trick to setting up either of my two NICs? Did I overlook
something?

When specifying the modules, do I just state which module to load or do I use
a full command to actually install the modules. I just figured the script
itself would do it for me. I didnt specify any ips or anything, which maybe I
should have, but they are both PCI and work great under a full install of
linux.

I appreciate any/all help you might be able to pass along my way.

Thanks In advance to you all.

Trent
