Just make sure that the (number of ports) + (first port number) does
not exceed 65535.
Every masq table entry uses a little memory, and slows things down a
bit. If you're masquerading lots of clients, there's little else you
can do.
If a large part of your masq traffic is HTTP and/or FTP, I would
recommend you set up a Squid caching proxy on the firewall.
