About the log event with destination and source port 65535. I
too have seen this. The packets hit my firewall every third
minute, but in my case the protocol is IGMP (2). I have traced
the source to a Win ME workstation, but I have no idea what is
causing the traffic. And I'm not sure if the ports really are
65535, or if this is a bug in the kernel.
I run linux 2.2.18...
