Hi,
I have recently installed Ip masquerading on the
same machine were squid proxy runs. I have notice that
client pc's on my LAN cannot browse the internet (using
IE5 & Netscape) if they are configured to use the squid
proxy server on thier settings.I have disabled manual proxy
in the settings panel of our browsers so they would connect.
Ip masquerading works just fine even when squid is running.
My client pc's that have live ip address can make use of the
squid server while those with ip masq setup client pc's runs
fine too, but with their proxy settings disabled? Is this how
Ip masquerade really works? A client machine connected to a
masq server cannot use squid proxy?

        Thank you.

                                Raul S. Bucad
