do you mean you can ping something like XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX but fail to ping
something like www.yahoo.com?
If that's your case, you probably did not setup the DNS server in your
client. You have to setup both the gateway and DNS for the client to work.

Hello ,
I have a linux server (kernel 2.2.17) as a MASQ server. And i have not
problem for DNS( ping ip_adress) on a client gives a good reply. But when i
try to surf , the browser find the web server but can't connect to the site.
Note: in my firewall, i have decided only this for FORWARD:
ipchains -A forward -s 192.168.0.0/24 -d 0.0.0.0/0 -j MASQ
What is the problem?
kindly
mea
