i'm not sure i understand what you're saying. i think you're
saying that you can get to the net from the gateway host but
not from internal hosts. check the routing tables on the
internal hosts. their default route must be the internal
address of the gateway host. having this wrong is one way to
produce these symptoms. if it's not that, use tcpdump to
watch what packets are doing. that'll help immensely in
diagnosing the problem.
