/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! /* ALSO: Don't quote this header. It makes you look lame :-) */ Hi all, A quick question: perhaps someone has succeeded or failed before... Is it possible to do XDMCP over MASQ? On the local network i have a number of PC's (linux and M$) and HP-envizex X-terminals. All of them are capable of reaching (ping, telnet, ftp, rlogin) X-servers on the outside, so the general MASQ rules work OK. However, XDMCP does not work. In current (TEST) set-up default policy is accept and ALL ports are MASQed. (not just port 177) I'm using RH 7.0 with a 2.2.19 kernel. It's not the X-setup, as both a linux-laptop and a genuine HP-x-terminal work correctly outside the MASQed area, but when placed behind the firewall (and ip-address adjusted) the screens on both machines stay grey... Funny thing is, that a M$-machine with "GoGlobal" (X-emulation with Rapid-X compression) does work !! So I have XDMCP working and MASQ working, but only apart, not together... HTH, Kind regards, Hans Witvliet _______________________________________________ Masq maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Admin requests can be handled at http://www.indyramp.com/masq-list/ -- THIS INCLUDES UNSUBSCRIBING! or email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] PLEASE read the HOWTO and search the archives before posting.
