To get all that and more you might look into David Ranch's TrinityOS with
the strong IPchains ruleset.
http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~dranch/LINUX/index-linux.html  There are a few
scripts on the page and a fully functional and quite extensive IPCHAINS
firewall script.  It will make the job of closing ports much easier.  It's
also a great reference when you want to create new rules.

Hiya all

I need to block some ports. First of all, I need ports 113 (ident) and smtp
in
stealth mode or at least closed. I also want all other ports in stealth mode
but applications must be able to access internet properly. My system is RH
7.0
etc. The forwarding and input rejecting and so on have done like the masq
howto says, and with ipchains. I'm not an expert so please give me exact
line
if possible. BTW, the ports need to be in stealth mode only when accessing
from outside (if somenone is attacking me). Thanks!
