If you have spare NICs / Cat-5 laying around, maybe ya just oughta try new
cards and new cabling -- might be worth a shot. I'd lean towards it being a
hardware problem, especially since it happened all of a sudden and things
worked fine for the past 12 months. You didn't change anything significant
right before this happened I'd imagine, so there's a good chance it's the
hardware acting up.
