At last it was the network card aggggggggggggg!! :)

I have reusing an old ISA card in the gateway and for some reaons the
newer cards at the hosts were taking the channel.. I suppose that they are
merely more efficient.. 

This is a good point for the ip-masq FAQ I think.. :)
