-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I have set up MASQ at RedHat 7.3 Linux box with kernel 2.4.19. I have followed all the steps in "Linux IP Masquerade HOWTO". I have passed every test from 5.1 to 5.7. but I cannot get through test 5.8. When I ping from internal computer an Internet server IP address, I get no response at internal computer but monitor on Linux server starts to be filled with this message repeatedly: IN=eth0 OUT=ppp0 SRC=192.168.1.101 DST=152.2.210.81 LEN=84 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=63 ID=0 DF PROTO=ICMP TYPE=8 CODE=0 ID=2057 SEQ=256 eth0 is internal nwtwork card and ppp0 is dial-up connection. I am new to Linux (though I have already some experiences) and also new to IP MASQ. I think that the problem is in that Linux box cannot forward the answer back to requesting machine. I would appreciate if somebody could help me solve this problem. - -- Miroslav Šulc StartNet s.r.o. - ------------------------------------------------ Vrchlického 161/5 150 00 Praha 5 Česká republika - ------------------------------------------------ e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] tel.: +420 2 57225602 fax: +420 2 57225592 mobil: +420 603 711413 - ------------------------------------------------ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE9dHzfN5Hw2a6x8CIRAknSAJ911LfNbkEpRf0vbjBigyjGIE/UrgCfW24v fCLSgC7MIOX2bQr2fgPH9zo= =at21 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Masq maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Admin requests can be handled at http://www.indyramp.com/masq-list/ -- THIS INCLUDES UNSUBSCRIBING! or email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] PLEASE read the HOWTO and search the archives before posting.
