I'm using iptables and rc.firewall-2.4-stronger from David Ranch's "Linux IP Masquerade HOWTO". /etc/hosts.allow or /etc/hosts.deny are not mentioned in that HOWTO. However, in the "Masquerading Made Simple HOWTO" by John Tapsell, /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny are mentioned to make the system more secure. Should I still be doing something with these files if I'm using the stronger firewall? If so, what? Is there a HOWTO about that? Thanks! _______________________________________________ Masq maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Admin requests can be handled at http://www.indyramp.com/masq-list/ -- THIS INCLUDES UNSUBSCRIBING! or email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] PLEASE read the HOWTO and search the archives before posting.
