I'm glad to hear you say that.  I also believe a true user (actually, a
true administrator) knows how the things are supposed to work, under the
hood, and that makes it so that he can fix things when they break down. 
Which they always do, eventually.  :)

My original setup, like yours, was based on Roaring Penguin's setup, but
I find their configuration very complicated, such as launching a daemon
to persistently sleep and wake up and watch to see if things are running
and kill things off if they aren't, and restart things if needed... 
Which is a real waste of effort, because the native pppd can to ALL of
those things, and probably does them better.  :)

Oh, but.. I guess this has nothing to do with masq.

Anyway, glad you got things working.  :)
