huh?  I've NEVER seen any internal modems other that USR Courier I-modems
that support anything higher than 115220.  First thing I would do
is drop it back to 115200.

Are you dialing into a NT server or a real NAS server like a Lucent 
Portmaster, Ascend Max, etc?
