I have masqing running fine on a dual NIC based system, but I'm having problems with packet filtering (firewalling). On packet filtering routers I use, I apply the filter to the interface but when I attempt to apply the same technique with blocking filters to the Linux masqing system, it ignores the interface and blocks packets in the wrong direction. I haven't had time, maybe this weekend, to upgrade to 2.2.x and ipchains, can someone point me to a FAQ or example of s similar configuration that works? I'm interested in allowing a couple static IP's in and restricted access to a specific system, which is also the masqing system, for ports 20, 21, 23, 25, and 80. TIA Barry Ps. there is no ppp on this, pure ethernet using DSL. My DSL ISP bridges which means I see all sorts of IP, IPX, Netbios traffic from other costs on the central hub. I'd like to plug this hole to my system... _______________________________________________ Masq maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://tiffany.indyramp.com/mailman/listinfo/masq Admin requests can be handled by web (above) or [EMAIL PROTECTED]
