Hello everyone.
I have a question about routing with a masq'd box. I have a network at my
home with 4 computers on it and they all point at my masq'd linux box for
their default gateway to get onto the net. Everythig works fine and all,
but the only problem I have is that when I boot my linux box the default
route is ETH0 set to the netware server I had acting as an IP router, and
then when I dialup and connect to the internet the ppp link is not set as
the default route so nothing mapsqd will work. What I ended up having to
do was kill the default route for eth0 and then dial up and connect and
then the default route now becomes the ppp link and evetything works,
except when I traceroute it tries to use eth0 and not ppp0 to do the
traceroute. Is that what I am supposed to do is kill the default route
for eth0 and then enable it for ppp0? Would tahe fix my traceroute
problem? Thanks in advance for the help! I am sorry this email sounds
odd, lack of sleep will do that to you.
