I've asked this question before, but I still not clear on a few things.
I am trying to set up a masq box, but I am having problems with ftp.
I have an internal Masq ftp server that users from the internet need to
access. They can log in, but they can't get a listing of files.
I get the error "Can't build data connection".
According to the IPMASQ-HOWTO-1.71 section 6.8 it may not be possible.
"NOTE: At this time, it is beleived that this modified IP_MASQ_FTP
module for port forwarded FTP connections will NOT work for the 2.2.x
kernels. If you feel experimental, please try porting it to the 2.2.x
kernels and email Ambrose and David your results."
My question is, Has anyone been able to set this up?
I have recompiled my kernel with portfw enabled. I have ipchains 1.3.8
installed with all rules set to ACCEPT.
Anyways, any help would be great.
