I've got masq successfully running and it works great for the web, ftp, and real audio. I am having a very strange problem with usenet using Agent. I am able to download headers and download most messages. The problem comes when I try to download very large messages, say larger than 60,000 lines (a.k.a. mp3 files) Sometimes they will start downloading fine and then part way through 'time out' other times they will make no progress whatsoever before timing out. Smaller files with similar content like 30,000 line mp3 files never have a problem. This does not happen when I connect my NT computer directly to my ISP. When this happens ifconfig reports a bunch of errors and dropped RX packets. If I am just surfing or ftping or whatever I don't get these errors. I am running Redhat 5.2 with the masq and networking packages that came with it on a 486. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
