Correct.  You would setup a "split DNS" server where one BIND process
would bind to your internal ethernet interface and then forward any
unknown hostnames to another BIND process running on the public ethernet
interface.

I beleive this is fully covered in the DNS-HOWTO.  If its not there on the
LDP mirrors, goto the author's WWW site.  It will be there for sure.
