Hi there
I had a problem with ipmasq "breaking" my routing every once in a while. by that i
mean, it would work for 1/2hour, then it would quit for 2 minutes, then work for
maybe 2 hours, then quit for 1 minute, etc. Basically, during that "minute" period, I
could to the outside world (i'm on a cable modem).
system: was rh5.2, now is rh6.0 (clean install), running 2.2.9 kernel, with 2 intel
pro/100 nic's, in a HP E40 Netserver.
Anything to check "obviously" right off the bat? I noticed that when the system
reboots and runs its depmod, thereare a lot of unresolved symbol errors. I am
thinking i should recompile again, should i deletet everything under /lib/modules
before I do so, to clean it out?Or is it more of a masq thing? i am not sure
where to start looking.
one thing i forgot, when my ip is not "working", and i do a traceroute to anything
outside, it gets to the first line before it stops, and i get a "!H" error. ?
(and i do NOT have ipautofw in the kernel, just ipportfw)
thanks
Matt
