Hello Jim.  I cannot confirm that you have exhaustively outlined all the types of
masquerading, but I use everything that you have detailed below but the only masq
that is depending on the kernel is the first, IP masqing.  The others are purely
dependent on bind and sendmail, assuming that their servers are the real IP visible
to the world and not a masqed IP.

The only real gottcha, reverse DNS chokes in that whoever your ISP is will typically
have the reverse DNS listed as your account.isp-domain.com and you will not be able
to provide individual, unique reverse lookups for the domains you register for
obvious reasons...  Another concern with a single IP, when you register with
Internic, you need TWO designated DNS servers...  You need someone, your ISP?, do
function as a secondary for you.

Yes, I do that and it isn't hard...  If you need working samples, e-mail me at my
home ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) where I have three domains registered and I'll send you
copies of my .cf files.
