I've got a local 192.168 network that talks to the rest of the world
via a gateway (running Linux v2.2) which does masquerading. My
problem is that ssh-1.2.27 is unwilling to allow RhostsRsa
authentication unless the client is using a privileged port;
unfortunately, although the socket from my local machine to the
gateway is using a privileged port, the connection from the gateway to
the remote host is using an unprivileged port.

Is there any way to convince the gateway to use a privileged port in
this case? It's kind of a pain to have to type in passwords all the
time.

        Thanks,
        Dave
