Heres my siduation.
Currently I am maintaining 2 masq systems, one at work and one at home.
thay are both running:
Red Hat Linux release 4.2 (Biltmore)
Kernel 2.0.30 on an i486
and except for ISP Problems, all has been going verry well.
Now for the advice.
1. Quicktime 4/streaming, I have downloaded the "RTSP" Code from apple
that is suposed to get Qt4 working with Masq, However, it won't compile.
I Really want to get this working, so I THINK that I am going to be
forced to upgrade to RH 5/6?
How is this going to affect all my Masq settings... Not to mention my
Ghost script/Ashare, etc! is thare any advice/methodology for making
this as paneless as possible?
(Or if thare is a way that I can get this working with RH 4.2, all the
better! if it aint broke, dont upgrade it!)
2. Next week I am geting a cable modem at home. (Still stuck with dial
up at work for another 2 months..)
is thare anything that I should be warey of? Currently I am using diald
to handel the connection, but when the cable modem comes, it will be 24/7
with DHCP. I built both Linux systems to be Masw boxes, and since
puting RH 4.2 on them (upgrading from Slackware 96) I have not really
had to mess with them at all, so I am a bit rusty.
Thankyou for any advice.
Josh
