/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! */ Greetings, I want to apologize for the lack of notice on this, but I've just finished upgrading the mailman list management software on tiffany.indyramp.com to the 1.0 GNU release. This hopefully will fix some minor issues that have plagued a couple of you during the beta. A former list member who had been incompletely unsubscribed (due to a problem with the software) and continued to get the monthly reminders sent a brief but annoying mail flood (30 messages in 71 seconds or so). His situation involved mixed case in email addresses... this is a problem that has been solved in the 1.0 GNU release. If you have a problem with the list software or list operations, please don't throw a fit or try to relaybomb or mailflood Indyramp. It's childish, and if I'm lucky it'll get your email access revoked. you can email me directly and I'll try to get to it as soon as possible. While I might have your attention... Please remember to keep posting at least somewhat related to the ip masquerading feature of Linux. General linux topics, hardware issues, and administrative issues related to the list itself are pretty much never appropriate to the list. Please remember to search the list archives before asking a question. You can search at http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ (and visit some of the advertisers who support this list's operation). Some questions get asked on at least a weekly basis when they're covered on a weekly basis in the archives as well as being mentioned in the HOWTO. And please remember that when you reply to a message, you should only quote the part of that message that's needed to set the stage, to show what you're talking about. Quoting the entire message, or worse, the entire thread, just makes the archives and the digest less useful and annoys a lot of the nearly 900 members of this list. One final note. I'm going to try to upgrade the hardware that this list runs on, so that the web interface will be faster. Right now we're poking along on a SPARCclassic (50mhz MicroSPARC) with 72MB of RAM, and while the mail is generally smooth (5k-10k deliveries a day, and huge numbers of spam/relay rejections), the web front-end is annoyingly slow. I have a P166 lined up that just needs an OS upgrade from NT to FreeBSD or Linux.
