You do not need to open any ports, you just need to load the ipmasq-ftp
module. It should be installed in /lib/modules/your-kernel-version/ipv4.
Make sure it's there, then 'insmod <name of module>', in this case, 'insmod
ipmasq-ftp'. (I think that's the name. If it's not, it's close). This
module should have been installed if you did a 'make modules' and 'make
modules_install' when you made your kernel.
