/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! */ Hello, I've set up a basic masq configuration according to the how-to, using RedHat Linux 6.0. [2.2.5-22] Behind my masq machine, I have an NT Server machine, running MS NT DNS. Port forwarding works fine, and I've also set up forwarding for PC Anywhere (5631,5632) as well as FTGate mail server (25,110). Everything works fine (portfw in particular) when I test it by going out (dialing out or using a diff't IP# from work). The difficulty is in using PCA or FTGate from _inside_ the network. I find that I have to use the internal (192.168.xx) address of the NT machine in order to access it. I cannot go out on the Internet and come back in via the external interface. (Incidentally, I have the same problem forwarding http on port 80). Is this to be expected? This is all new to me, but I'm learning as quickly as I can. In case you are wondering why I need to be able to do this, the main reason is that I'd prefer to not have to change mail settings on my laptop depending on where I am. Thanks for any help or insight you may be able to provide! -ted _______________________________________________ Masq maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Admin requests can be handled at http://www.indyramp.com/masq-list/ or email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] PLEASE read the HOWTO and search the archives before posting.
