not really.  (i also posted to usenet and didn't receive anything useful
there either...)

i have tried it on two separate machines (two separate physical networks:  
at home and at work), and have upgraded kernels several times on each
machine.

yes.

i can ping/telnet the masq server from internal machines, and can access
the internet from the masq server.  i cannot access the internet directly
from internal machines.

i actually ended up solving this problem by adding a second network card
to the masq server (and not using IP aliasing anymore).  though it works
now, i do not consider this to be an `adequate' fix.  masq worked before
with one card on the 2.0.x kernel series, and i am curious to know why
this no longer works.
