Hi all

I've been running a small linux box configured as a
firewall/IP-Masquerade machine (Janus), in order to protect a
network of NT machines from the 'dangers' of full internet access.
The box has been up and running for months now, and is configured to
provide transparent FTP and HTTP access. I have just installed kernel
2.2.12 and the IP-Masq modules that come as standard, but I still
can't get LPD to work through this box. Any printers, configured in
printcap, which are connected to remote computers, just timeout.

I'm trying to give the NT machines access to printers via another
linux box that exists on the other side of Janus, using the microsoft
Unix-LPD printer driver thingy.

Has anyone managed to get LPD printing to work? Do I need a special
module? Can I configure the LPD server to use a higher port instead
of 515?

Thanks for your help!
